Requirements
All CDL Class A drivers must meet below qualifications:- 23 years or older
- Valid CDL - Class A
- Valid Medical card with no restrictions
- Proof of US Citizenship
- Read, write and speak English
- Min of 2 years of experience with similar equipment.
- Pass background checks and maintain negative drug testing throughout employment
- No DUI's, Felony driving convictions and SAPP in the last 5 years
- MVR Violations - a max 3 minor violations or a combination of 1 major and 1 minor in the last 36 months
- Hazmat Endorsements are encouraged
- 2017 or newer day cab or sleeper, pass inspection and road ready
- Weekly Insurance coverage
- Required to sign-up with POD; Auto Liability and Cargo Insurance
- Optional Insurance with POD; Physical, OccAcc and Bobtail Insurance. Must provide proof if you opt-out.
- Base Plate program
- IFTA reporting
- Required Escrow Account up to $2500
- Required to install Samsara GPS unit and outward camera
- Maintain truck DOT book
- No passengers or pets allowed due to customer restrictions
- Weekly direct deposit
Description
General duties include but not limited to:- Maintaining truck and trailers with DOT pre-trips and reporting defects to maintenance
- Communicating with dispatch via PORTPRO and maintaining at least 90% on-time deliveries
- Safely pick-up and drop off freight to yards, warehouses, ports and customers
- Maintain a clean safety record while employed
- Follow Company policies and procedures
- Follow the FMCSR Guidelines
- Stay HOS compliant at all times - POD uses Samsara system
- Have a smart phone and blue tooth headset
- Maintain hiring qualifications during employment
- Dependable and team player, safe driver, problem solver and represents POD Logistics
- Able to work in all weather conditions safely
- Able to secure loads with zip-ties, straps, tarps, liners, etc. when needed.

PAYRATE IS BASED ON MILEAGE AND PER JOB COMPLETED.
Loaded miles, empty miles, drop-n-hook, live loads/unloads, mount/dismount, etc.
Local / Regional routes are home daily. Some regional locations may include 1 or 2 nights out.
